The HOOPS djs are three ladies who know how to get every booty on the dance floor shaking.
HOOPS combine a genuine love of all things bling with beats you can’t stop popping to. Their sassy beats and stylin’ moves behind the decks have caused a ruckus on the Sydney club scene all in a very short time.
Together the girls have played high profile parties, including events for Sass and Bide, Official Aria After Party, Insight and Vice. Eyewear soiree, scoring rave reviews for their ability to make the social elite get down and dirty on the dance floor. They also supported DJ AYRES at the most pumping party Sydney has seen in a while.
Whilst HOOPS has been launched as a collective only in recent months, the ladies all boast interesting histories in the music industry.
ANNA LUNOE: Starting off as a presenter on on FBI 94.5fm she is now signed to Modular Touring and has supported a bevvie of international artists including M.I.A, Spankrock, Peaches, Yelle, Xzibit, lil’ Jon and Lupe Fiasco as well as being hauled around the country playing at the hottest parties from Newcastle to Perth.
NINALASVEGAS: Having worked as an audio producer for the past three years, it was only a matter of time until Ninalasvegas left the comfort of her studio and started playing live. She also shares her musical knowledge with disadvantaged adolescents through workshops at the HEAPS DECENT studio, which functions through a collaboration with Diplo’s label Mad Decent.
BAD EZZY: Is probably the shortest dj in Sydney. She played to Sinden at her first ever dj gig and has also supported the likes of Muscles, Aloe Blacc, Freq Nasty and performed at Sydney’s Parklife with the bedazzled honeyz in her rap group, S.Y.L.K.
HOOPS throws monthly parties in Sydney, which showcase the talent of female djs and MC’s. As well as their own parties, HOOPS have upcoming performances at Falls Festival, The Ivy Opening, Official Good Vibrations After Party and on MTV’s the Lair with Steve Aoki.
Don’t forget - wear them HOOPS!
