Waste Collection Services
Wagga Wagga City Council strongly endorses recycling and is considered leaders in the field.
The city operates a three bin system to maximize the way the community disposes of its rubbish.
They include:
- Collected weekly
- one 120 litre general garbage bin
- Collected fortnightly
- one 240 litre bin for greenwaste
- one 240 litre bin for recyclables
The Council's main solid waste management facility (Gregadoo) is located to the south of the city and is open daily from 8 am to 4.30 pm. A "user pays" system applies on a weight basis with a minimum charge is $5.00.
Rural waste disposal facilities are available at most of the villages.
