Wagga Junior Rugby Union
Wagga Junior Rugby Union

Wagga Junior Rugby Union Registration Day Friday 26th February 4pm to 6pm Conolly Park.
Registration day kicks of the 2010 junior rugby season which promises to be an exciting one. In 2010 the new weekly home and away competition replaces the Gala Day concept.
Rugby will be played on a more consistent basis with less travel and importantly more rugby in Wagga. In the draft draw Wagga has 7 home games, 3 away and 1 bye.
This will be a big step forward for the junior competition which continues to see large increase in player numbers, especially over the past 2 years.
In some age groups we (Wagga) have gone from having only one team to three, especially in the younger age groups. We are also seeing similar trends in towns like Young and Cootamundra.
The u7s, u9s and u11s play modified rules where u7s are non tackle and slowly progress to the fully fledged game by the time they are in the u13s.
Rugby has a very strict behavioral code of conduct for players and parents which creates a safe and pleasant environment for children to play sport.
