An Invitation to Your Club, Your Association or Interested Individuals to attend a  Public Meeting

The Future for Equestrians’ in  Wagga Wagga

Venue: Equex Centre Meeting Room
Date: Wednesday 25 November 2009
Time: 7.30pm

Overview: Wagga Wagga City Council is currently undertaking an audit of Equestrian facilities in our city. They have spoken to some of the equestrian groups and plan to speak to all over the next few months.

It is my concern that the council will gather a huge, but disjointed ‘want’ list with little or no strategic thought or long term planning from riders.

The aim of this public meeting is to;

•    Bring together all relevant equestrian groups to put forward and discuss issues which should be considered in future developments.
•    Elect a Steering Committee to assess the viability of forming the Equestrian Council Of Wagga Wagga (Working title) to act as a voice for all rider groups across Wagga and to ensure that information is fed back to all rider groups.

Agenda:

7.30 Welcome and Overview
7.45 Attendee Introductions – around the room
8.00 Wagga Wagga City Council Sports Master Plan - Information
8.10 Think tank – What we want / need
8.40 Equestrian Council of Wagga Wagga (Working Title)
    Steering Committee nominations
    Steering Committee elections
8.55 Next Meeting
9.00 Close

This is a public meeting, everyone is welcome to attend, everyone is welcome to have a say.

If you are interested in nominating for a position on the steering committee or would like more information please email Jane Barnes barneskj@bigpond.net.au or call 0428 433608
