Naturual Gas

Natural Gas is available from Moomba, South Australia through the East Australian Pipeline (which also supplies Sydney) and from Longford, Victoria through the GPU gas network. The local distribution system is provided by Country Energy and is connected to the transmission system by two gate stations. The Natural Gas supply for industry is mainly focused on Bomen Business Park. Having Natural Gas supplies available from both South Australia and Victoria allows Wagga Wagga to have a security of supply that is superior to many centres within Australia.

Electricity

Wagga Wagga enjoys a position on the New South Wales state grid, giving its customers a high level of security of supply. Current trends show that NSW contract energy prices are significantly lower than prices for the same energy within Victoria. Water Supply

The urban area and surrounding districts are supplied with filtered, chlorinated and fluoridated water from hilltop reservoirs. Funded by the NSW Department of State and Regional Development, the BEC provides free and totally confidential business counselling. Start-ups and existing businesses receive counselling covering business planning, financial assessments and referrals to appropriate professionals. New businesses are also provided with marketing information, and existing businesses with additional counselling in problem solving and business analysis.
