The Wagga Wagga Airport is owned by the Australian Government with the civil side leased to the Wagga Wagga City Council in 1992 for 30 years.

More than 120,000 passengers use the Airport each year with Rex and Qantas operating daily return flights to Sydney. Rex also operates daily return flights to Melbourne.

The Airport has a modern passenger terminal along with aircraft refueling and maintenance facilities. Several car rental operators also have outlets within the terminal building while a taxi rank is located nearby.

A flying school is located at the airport run by a private operator while the airport is also home to Rex's maintenance operations.
