Wagga Wagga is part of the rich Riverina region of southern NSW.It is bounded by the Snowy Mountains to the east and the fertile Murrumbidgee Irrigation Area to the west.
To the north is the South West Slopes and to the south the Murray River region.
The Murrumbidgee River meanders through the city while a distinguishing feature is Willans Hill surrounded by the suburbs of Kooringal, Turvey Park, Mount Austin and Tolland.
