Wagga Man wins big time in RSL Draws
Lightning Strikes Twice
Everyone has heard the saying “lighting never strikes twice” …. well, it certainly has for RSL Club member, John Gerber. Twice in the month of May, John stuck it big.

On May 4 John won $10,000 in the Members’ Draw (see page 4). Then in an uncanny strike of good fortune, John’s number came up again on May 24 in the Club’s latest promotion ‘Win Your Weight in Gold Coins’.
On the night of the promotion three member’s ticket were pulled from the barrel. John’s was the second ticket drawn, making him the second person to pick one of three boxes. One box held a gold coin while the other two held $500 Myer gift vouchers.
John was elated when he chose the box with the coin in it, winning for him his 84kg weight in gold coins. After hopping on the scales it was determined that John had won $9,500.
For John it was the pot of gold at the end of a rainbow. In less than a month John has won nearly $20,000. The RSL Club chose to hold this fantastic promotion as the Club’s way of saying “thank you” to the members for their continual support during the Club’s renovation period.
“We appreciate that the construction period was at times inconvenient but we embarked on the renovations to give members a Club that is second to none in Wagga in style and comfort,” Club President, Dave Gardiner said.
“It is the Club’s policy to give back to our members and the Win your Weight in Gold Coins and the Members’ Draw promotions are great examples of just that.” Now is a great time to join the new and improved RSL Club. With the Club dropping the joining fee, people can now join full membership for half price. Plus they still have a chance to win in the Club’s second and last draw of Win Your Weight in Gold Coins to be held on June 28.
