Upgrades to village playgrounds

Children who reside in the villages of Galore, Humula and San Isidore have been enjoying playtime so much more following upgrades to their playground equipment.

The park’s new accessories cater for toddlers through to primary school aged children and are part of Wagga Wagga City Council’s ongoing program to replace old and outdated equipment with modern, safe and fun playgrounds.

The replacement of playground equipment in San Isidore’s Norman Duck Oval and in Humula Park was funded under Council’s playground replacement budget for 2008/09.

Council welcomed a $20,000 grant from the NSW Government’s Local Government Playground Grants late last year to go towards the

Galore playground overhaul comprising of equipment and surfacing which cost a total of $28,000.

The Galore community also assisted with the project by removing the old equipment to make way for the new.
