Wagga Wagga Trail Marathon

The Wagga Wagga Trail Marathon has it all. River tracks with bush scenery, sleepy lagoons, hill top views, and the lake. Come to Wagga Wagga for this unique Marathon experience, run the magnificent Wiradjuri walking track around the city of Wagga Wagga.

The marathon takes in tracks along the river, through the bush and sleepy lagoons. It provides views from the slopes of  Pomingalarna reserve. It goes along Red Hill road, past the suburbs to Lake Albert, then along Kooringal road, under the Sturt highway, and along the Murrumbidgee River banks back to the start.

The Beach start and finish
Wagga Beach, home of the "5 o'clock wave", is a popular location for swimming or canoeing. With beach sand along the water's edge and large grassed areas, the beach provides a great spot for the start and finish of the marathon, a barbecue, and allows a cool off in the waters of the Murrumbidgee River after the run.

The Relay provides four persons a chance to complete 10-12 km stages along the marathon trail.
The 10 km Fun Walk/Run will start at the beach after the marathon and relay runners are away and will run along the river track and back.

The 3 km Fun Walk is along the river track to the first stile.
