This exhibition showcases the work of Rohan Nicol as a candidate for the award of PhD.

It presents drawings, models, prototypes and commercial products that illustrate the directions pursued in developing a financially sustainable model of studio based craft and design practice.

Australia’s most prestigious award for emerging designers, the Bombay Sapphire Design Discovery Award, has been awarded to Wagga Wagga based designer Rohan Nicol for his entry Peppered Sunlight.

As the 2009 recipient of the Award, Rohan receives a $30,000 cash prizen and a trip to Milan to attend the international design fair, the Salone del Mobile in 2010. VIEW RELEASE
