People intent on studying the most popular courses at TAFE NSW Riverina Institute in 2010 have just weeks to submit their applications.
Studying at Riverina Institute has become so popular that the most sought after courses require early applications in order to win a place in a 2010 classes.
People who wish to enrol on one of 27 of the most popular courses, including 13 Diploma and Advanced Diploma level courses and 14 Certificate level courses, have until Friday 30th October to submit their application.
“Because we’re dealing with such high demand courses we have more people wanting to enrol than places available,” explained Relieving Riverina Institute Director Joy Stocker.
“The early application process provides students an opportunity to talk to Institute staff early about their study options. It means they will beat the rush and be making considered choices at a less pressured time of the year,” she said.
With over 30,000 students enrolling each year, Riverina Institute ensures quality of education by maintaining smaller class sizes and ensuring teachers are providing current, relevant training which meets the demands of industry.
“While smaller class sizes means greater one on one time with our experienced specialist teachers, it also means students must get in early to increase their chances of securing a place in the course of their choice.”
The application process allows the Institute time to assess applicants against state-wide selection criteria and any course-specific criteria.
“While we hope to accommodate everyone in their chosen field, the limited places and strict criteria means that occasionally applicants are not successful,” said Mrs Stocker.
Students who are not able to enrol in the course of their choice may be offered an alternative that can provide the first step in the pathway toward that qualification.
Applications close on Friday 30th October. For more information about Early Application courses visit the website at http://www.rit.tafensw.edu.au/enrol/highdemand.aspx or call your nearest campus on 1300 138 318.
